Hello

I'm Terri. I am a Mum to one amazing little boy who is teaching me as much as I am teaching him. I am a Person-Centered Counselling student and am working hard to be able to bring counselling and talking therapies to the community. I am organiser of The Wild Hub's Women and ADHD/ADD project, which has its first meeting on the 8th of December 2024. I love meeting people and learning about other people, we often do not realise how much we have to offer, which is why growing our community is so important: to build those essential positive human connections and fostering a sense of well-being and inclusion.

I love getting back to nature and learning how we can be more self-sufficient, taking advantage of our local environment and the beauty it has to offer, which in our busy lives can be easily missed.

My Story

I have a background in working with people, many of whom have experienced trauma and hardship. My passion comes from my own experiences of addiction, homelessness, and trauma. Through a long journey of self-exploration and acceptance, I am using my negative experiences as a driving force to create a positive future, not just for myself and my family, but for my community. The realisation that I was neuro-divergent eased many of the negative connotations I had towards myself, helping me to be kind to myself for the person I am, rather than punishing myself for the person I thought I should be.

I believe self-acceptance is fundamental in being happy, and being confident enough to make changes to live a more satisfying life. I hope to be able to facilitate this for others through the work that I do - creating safe spaces to explore ourselves and talk freely without the fear of judgement.
