Hola
I am Angela, originally from Spain and settled here for the last three decades. I've two incredible and willful children. We're a neurodivergent family where autism, adhd, dyslexia and dyspraxia blend together making who we are.
I trained as a classical dancer and then as a media, marketeer and photographer but now, I work in transport project management. I manage apprentices, internal communications, deliver training, mentor, recruit and develop staff. My role includes their welfare and safeguarding. And I love trends, surveys and statistics!
I'm passionate about people's personal and professional development, community engagement, our environment, diversity and inclusion and of course, building healthy and resilient communities!
I work closely with Terri's 'baby' on developing The Wild Hub's Women and ADHD/ADD project where I bring my personal knowledge and experience as a neurodivergent female adult, mother and employer.
I'm an avid bushcrafter, I love nature, the elements and our very fragile environment. Reduce, reuse, recycle! We must keep learning and protecting what we have and enjoy the incredible benefits nature offers.
My Story
I've worked with people from different backgrounds and social-economic status. From one end of the spectrum to the other.
My grandmother used to say: We all have something in common 'we live and we die, but whatever we do in between, it is really up to us'.
My past
I'm grateful to have lived the extremes of my life because it has and keeps teaching me valuable lessons; from studying in private schools to becoming homeless, from having 'the perfect partner' to then survive domestic abuse. Moat of my life I felt misunderstood or judged because I spoke, thought and behaved different to the norm, whatever that may be!.
I believe that being honest and learning to respect oneself, applying selfcare, and setting healthy boundaries, are some of the elements that will lead to greater things now and in the future.
I grew in a huge 'perfectly imperfect' family who had a 'hands on' approach on the local community. We exchanged knowledge, looked after one another and celebrated our achievements as much as supported others during hardships.
I want to continue this legacy and it would be my privilege to encourage and enable others to find their own voice in a safe space and caring environment.
Contact
I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities to grow and to grow with others
