Community Naturescapes

Welcome to Community Naturescapes, our evolving nature recovery programme led by The Wild Hub team. Rooted in exploration, reflection, and community, this project was born from a simple question:

What draws us to nature – and how can we deepen that connection while helping it thrive?

What We’re Creating

Together, we asked ourselves:

  • What do we love about being in nature?

  • How does it support our wellbeing?

  • Where do we go in Norfolk to feel wild, peaceful, or inspired?

  • If we could reimagine our connection to the land, what would we create?

From this, the idea of a Pollinator Pathway was born.

The Pollinator Pathway Project

We're developing an interactive trail at Fenland Orchard, designed to support pollinator recovery while reconnecting people with plants, stories, and nature.

 What makes it special?

  • Medicinal plants with folklore stories to bring them to life

  • Engaging signs to teach visitors about plant uses, benefits for humans & pollinators

  • Interactive elements for children and adults alike

  • A focus on education, biodiversity, and imagination

Why Pollinators Matter

Pollinators like bees, butterflies, moths and hoverflies are vital for:

  • Growing our food

  • Sustaining biodiversity

  • Keeping ecosystems healthy

Our trail aims to raise awareness and share simple actions we can all take to protect pollinators

Get Involved

As part of our Pollinator Conservation Project, we're inviting the community to join us in planting, building, learning and co-creating.

Whether you’re a gardener, artist, nature-lover, or complete beginner – we’d love to have you involved.

Together, let’s reconnect with the land and support a thriving natural world — for pollinators, for people, and for the future.

Join an environmental artist Kaitlin Ferguson for a hands-on activity to create your own bee-brick from natural materials, and take it home to provide a safe nesting spot for solitary bees and support local pollinators
