Hands-on Learning Summer Programme

About Session

Through recent surveys and conversations with young people, we’ve listened to what’s holding them back from joining groups and activities — a lack of engaging options, anxiety, social barriers, and transport difficulties. Many want to try new things and learn new skills, but need the right kind of support. That’s where Hands-on Learning comes in. This summer, we’re offering a varied programme of smaller, welcoming sessions designed to help young people aged 11+ build confidence, explore new activities, and connect with others in a supportive space. Activities will include: 🌱 Art meditations & mindfulness 🧘 Yoga, movement, and cookery 🥁 Drumming & sound therapy 🎨 Creative crafts & willow weaving 🎧 Silent discos 🔮 Crystal workshops 🌍 Flow arts (like poi) and more! Sessions will run in various community locations, with both in-person and online options. Each session includes gentle wellbeing themes, life skills, and creative exploration, offering a fun and low-pressure way to try something new. Spaces are limited to keep sessions small and calm (10 max), so early booking is encouraged. Come as you are — all abilities welcome. 🌟
